The story about switching the De Antramentis Gold to a wetter pen is a bit embarrassing because it ends with me losing about half of my sample of ink. I wanted to transfer it to my Noodlers Konrad Flex (which I did, and the above post was written with that pen). However, the only way to do that was to pull the feed and nib out and pour the ink in through the section. The sample amount was too small to fill normally using the piston. So, when I reset the nib and feed and turned the pen over, about half the ink dripped right out. I am not sure what happened. Possibly I didn't set the feed correctly, but after some fiddling I got it working. The color does look richer with a wetter pen on nicer paper, more of a brownish gold.

First off, welcome to the group Lefty Lettering. That's a nice looking pen and it has nice flex.

Now, I'd ordered a new-to-me pen from the classifieds on 7/21 and it arrived 8/3. YAY!!!

Here it is

Eversharp Skyline, late 40's. Recently restored by Richard Binder. Holds a lot of sentimental value as it is engraved with my grandmother's initials on the cap. I also have a matching pencil.
