That's a very pretty Estie. Does it have a gold nib or is it just the way the color came out in the photo?

Just the way it came out in the photo; if I'd noticed, I would have color corrected it. I don't know if Esterbrook made gold nibs; I'll have to do an eBay crawl.

Boy, she'd really be a stunner with gold trim, wouldn't she? (eyes packet of gold leaf, remembers he doesn't know how to apply it properly)

Esterbrook didn't make gold nibs. Well sort of. Estie had a series of pens called Relief Pens, they didn't look much like a regular Estie but the later pens had interchangeable nibs that do fit Esties and they did make 14c ones. They are all 314 oblique stubs.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Greetings, FPN! I've not been on in ages... University and work! :)

I have in my collection, a "new" and relatively unknown English Parker pen!

I got it from a client at work and it was his childhood pen. (He's 60, for reference.)

Sorry for the amount of pictures. Lazy to make another thread to ID the pen, and to search its model. And I wanted to show how it writes a bit.

Have fun telling me what pen it is! :P

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Well despite your own critique the scribbling looks good! The Tibaldi is a gorgeous pen with a flexible fine 18kt nib which writes like a medium, it's a large capacity piston filler.

Nice try, but none of mine would dare to be wayward. :D

I'll have to look for one. And then I'll have to see what I can do about gold-leafing the chrome. That pen would look *stunning* with gold nib and trim.

My Sheaffer fleet updated...

http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/cc383/edulpj/SAM_2841_zpsd47e34da.jpg

From left to right

- Sheaffer Craftsman

- Sheaffer Balance Lifetime (vac fill)

- Sheaffer Statesman (vac fill)

- Sheaffer Admiral Snorkel

- Sheaffer Imperial 500 (touchdown)

- Sheaffer Imperial Triumph (touchdown)

- Sheaffer PFM III (snorkel)

- Sheaffer Stylist (C/C)

- Sheaffer Targa 1001 (C/C)

Tringle and Amberleadavis...

My favourite brand is/was not Sheaffer... I like very much Parker pens, but since last three years, my "Sheaffer passion" grow stronger ;)

To say what is my favourite Sheaffer, is a very difficult task. I choose my Sheaffer pens, with some criteria, basically by filling system.

You may see that I don't have current models, just vintage.

My favourite filling system is the old and good TOUCHDOWN... My favourite nib is the INLAID nib... My favourite material is STAINLESS STEEL... Those preferences, points me to Imperial Triumph and Targa 1001...

But I have enough space in my heart to all of them ;) ;) ;)

Look at my horse, my horse is amazing!!!

In general I like them very much.

It gives good control (better than I expected from a synthetic brush).

Sometimes I had the feeling that it is too wet but most of the time the flow felt really well.

Thanks for your recommendation, I do not regret that I bought them. :)
