Stunning! Makes me think of looking out in a snowstorm, watching those big fat flakes fall in the still of the night.

David: Where do you find these unusual pens?! This one is beautiful, but then so are all the rest of yours.

tringle: If I had that cracked ice pen, I'd just sit staring at it and get nothing else done. Very nice.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

See, that exercise book, that's the thing I need, nice work by the way. I've only been working on my hand for a couple weeks now and I've got lots of room for improvement.

Here's my modest offering for the day. My two workhorses. The Metro doesn't like the Noodlers, she didn't want to write at all this morning, guess it's back to the Iroshizuku after a good and thorough cleaning.

Welcome aboard!

I have some italic nibs, but no workbook. I think I'll get one and see if it can help me with my writing. You guys/gals are awesome!

Ptero, great drawing of the Manatee. Very restrained and subtle, I think.

Here's the pen I inked today:

I'm having a hard time getting the colors to show as they really are, with our weak sun, but here are a couple of pics that give a good idea:

Wow, this is a pen worthy gazing at. Thank you for sharing. Good combo.

Another Italian vintage pen I have inked today. Along with my old standard Sheaffer Flat Top with a big nail head nib.

Beautiful pens, and yes, that was the conversation, punctuated with an occasional, "what about..."

This one is the conversation with the bank about a HAMP application.

Tas, Ptero, Sinistral1, Cyber6, Uncle Red,
Thanks y'all! Happy that you like it

@Ptero, actually it took about an hour or so overall. I wasn't going for perfection, more likely for fun and some experiencing with that "staining" stuff ;)

I browse some "urban sketching" blogs and groups and they really make me go :puddle:
Might try to get myself into something like that...

That is just beautiful!

Wow, 00photo, that's a gorgeous W14, perhaps the prettiest one I've ever seen. Except for some knucklehead along the way who wrenched on the section with pliers, it looks in near new condition. Of course, your lovely writing could make even a Wearever seem like a Waterman. Great photos, too.

Nice pens, tringle, but I certainly could have done without the weather report. :P

Here's a pic I took last weekend after several hours of shoveling at the cabin; we had 15" of new snow followed by 40mph winds, with 8 foot drifts. The path to the sauna always gets shoveled first; the best part of the day was the end of shoveling followed by a hot sauna and a cold beer (or two).

Amberlea, if I doodled like that while on the phone I'd forget completely what I was supposed to be doing. Which reminds me that my wife often tells me I should never attempt to multitask, a skill reserved for higher beings (women, that is).

Thanks for the very nice remarks about pen and ink. I long for the talent of Attika so I could actually DO something (besides writing) with these instruments.

Today's pairing (sounds oddly like a lead-in from Food & Wine, doesn't it?):

This Akkerman Shocking Blue has the most amazing shading and sheen, inexpertly captured here:
