P.S: I damaged the nib of my Serwex when I close the cap. :(

Oh bummer. Sorry to hear that!

P.S: I damaged the nib of my Serwex when I close the cap. :(

Unfortunately this easily happens with this nice looking (crappy) pen with several construction and material flaws (inner cap catches the nib on closing easily, nib will be twisted when turning the cap (when closed), weak section threads, which wear down incredible fast so that you can't screw the barrel onto the section anymore, additionally on mine the silver ring of the section fall off when it was new (unused), glued it in place again).

Nevertheless I like using mine with the FPR flex nib (but of course with the EMF mod, now an easy full flex nib), despite I did not succeeded modify the feed to keep up with the increased flexibility.

Pterodactylus,

Unpleasant things happen, but I'll try to get the best buying two replacement nibs.

I'll get one to try your EMF tip.

If it makes you feel better, I speak and comprehend the English language very well, and I too sometimes have difficulty understanding the jokes. I do really enjoy seeing the various inks in use and the wonderful penmanship, though. To wit: I just come here for the pretty pictures.

Yesterday I worked at cleaning off all the spilled and dried red ink off this pen...today I'll be signing off my orders with it in blue. These are very common pens but I love when I find one in a color I haven't seen yet.

It's probably related to my missing/limited ability to play with the English language, as it is also not my first language.

I probably could do it better in German, but I doubt that the majority could follow the dialogues in that case at all. ;)

Ptero - I think you should write a post in German! Maybe with one of your stunning flex pens?

Hoping to join in here within the next couple of weeks once I've got something worth showing off!

In fairness, some of the jokes are puns or are cultural references. I don't always get all the jokes either, but it's okay to ask. Someone recently asked me who E.B. is (the Easter Bunny). Now, it's probable that the whole big deal about the EB is a peculiarly North American phenomena. Seriously, who hides chocolate ... Mommies ... otherwise the children eat them before the Mommies can eat them, but I digress. If you don't understand the joke, just ask, we won't be offended. Also, not all jokes are funny (we try, but some jokes fall flat).

Welcome aboard.
