Just picked up an awesome green Edison Hudson and a red Noodler's Flex Creeper. I love the weight and heft of the Edison - it was exactly what I was looking for. The writing is also smooth as hell. The Noodler's is a bit more of a pain as everyone knows. I've already read through all the material on how to adjust it, but I still can't get it right after ~2 days of fiddling. It writes too wet all the time. If significantly reduce venting (~7 vents visible), it still writes wet and has starting/skipping issues. If I crank it up, starting/skipping is gone, but wetness isn't changed. Sigh. I love the way it writes, if it could just write a bit drier, it'd be perfect. I'm just going to pick up a decent flex like a Falcon. And yes, I did clean the thing heavily already.

60 years old for both pen and ink: A 1950 Montblanc 234 1/2 G with a 14C BB nib, using 1950s Parker Quink Permanent Royal Blue, with Solv-X. I found an unopened bottle of the ink at an antique store and was saving it to use with a similar vintage pen. I think this one works perfectly.

Pity about the paper - Clarifontaine :bonk: it does not do the pen any justice.

I really need to find a paper here in the UK that can take fountain pens that pour on the juice!

I have to save my pics to photobucket and then paste them here using the image icon - I dont know of any other way to do it.

I hope there's a picture here!

I was so focused on using photo bucket I forgot to mention the pens!

Lamy Safari with a 1.1 italic nib and diamine aqua blue ink.

Twisbi 540 with a 1.1 italic nib and Noodlers cactus green ink.

I've copied and pasted all the different links from photo bucket. Why do I get words instead of a picture?

You have two http:// at the beginning -- remove one of them and it'll work.
