Watermans make up the most of any given brand in my collection. I count 59 Watermans, about 27 of those being hard rubber, five being silver or gold covered, and 14 being celluloid. The rest are regular plastic or lacquer-over-brass. Of the older models I have one #1 nib, 38-ish #2 nibs, five #4 nibs, two #5's, and one #6.

I don't know what caused me to latch onto Watermans, but I sure love them. :)

Wow, many great posts!

Here is what I have inked. The pen at the bottom is a new arrival and is not inked... yet. It is a Wahl BCHR pen with a Greek key design and rather oxidized. The picture does show it as black but it is really brown. It has a Waterman semi-flex nib on it. The ring top on it is gone but I don't mind.

Wow it sure looks festive. Though I must say that mine never looks that red.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Cybaea, that really is a gorgeous red!

Here is the pen I'm playing with today. I modified my Konrad according to Pterodactylus's specifications and it works so much better now.

I'm not even close to organised enough to do this and comment on all other posts, so my best effort is to comment on the last one...!

Your italic penmanship induces some rather embarrassing Pavlovian drooling...

No more looking at this thread at work...

Glad to see some new folks throwing their hat into the ring. And the regulars here are to me a constant source of inspiration for what can be done with pen and ink.

I notice there are 171 pages so far and the thread has been going 17 months - 10 pages per month of unique and drool-worthy entries is quite amazing, fun every day to look at, and more than respectable.

I don't think the two-toned effect has come out very well in this photo - it is quite a bit more noticeable in real life.

One thing about J. Herbin 1670 Anniversary rouge hematite is the way it sticks to nibs, and to anything it touches - my fingers are a lovely shade of red today thanks to this ink!
