If any of you have a scooby as to what model this is, or when it was made, I'd appreciate knowing -- Thanks, Leon

Leon, those vintage Pelikans, especially the 1960s piston fillers, are great pens and often undervalued. Nice find!

AV8R210 (as in, Cessna 210?) - a vintage Wahl Gold Seal flattop, done by Greg Minuskin?! You can't do much better than that!

I received in today's mail a parcel from FPNer Leslie Roscoe, who hails from England. He makes pen trays of all sorts and agreed to make three for me. These are very nicely crafted from French oak (he didn't say, but I'm assuming he surreptitiously chopped a tree somewhere in France then floated the freshly cut tree across the Channel). Regardless of the origins of his wood, I recommend Leslie's work without reservation. Here's the new tray holding today's pens, one modern and five vintage, which seems to be my current ratio:

Top to bottom the pens are:

1. Radium Point Pen OS flattop in pearl and black

2. Parker Duofold Senior in red Permanite

3. Parker Dufold DeLuxe in Moderne Black & Pearl

4. Parker Duofold Senior in jade Permanite

5. Marathon OS flattop in yellow swirl celluloid, with jade ends

6. Wiland Star

I'm adding this picture which shows the interesting feed made for the 94 - using olive ebonite - with two slots on either side of the ink channel. When placed on the feed the nib covers all four slots.

DCPritch — I am quite pleased with it, purchased it here on FPN from a Spanish member, Jorge. It's XF nib has a tad of flex, but I'm ham-fisted and it doesn't work well for me with flex. Smooth as glass, though and extremely pleasant. That's a lovely Waterman you have.

Tringle — That's terrible, I'm sorry. Nasty mis-fortune there.

DCPritch...Mooney. 2/10 is my birthday. Your pen from the Circumnavigator's Club is amazing, gorgeous, perfect and truly rare. Just think about that club in 1931. The membership was no doubt a small and distinguished group.

Tringle...Your photo was sad to see. A cautionary tale for us all. So sorry.

Glad you were able to fix your pen. Keep writing.

akustyk, you do great things with the humble 45!

mports, nice recovery - a happier ending than tringle's broken Soennecken!

AV8R210 - I took a tour back in the '80s of the Mooney plant in Kerrville, then demo'd several on a hot Texas summer afternoon. Great planes!

Attila, the M400 is a classic!

I've had this one sitting around for quite a while and finally this week had a chance to bring it back to life. Vintage Parkers seem always to be worth the effort.
