It's been a while since I posted, so ...

From top to bottom: An Indian copy of a Pelikan (I think), inexpensive, fine steel nib, nice shading, some flex - Private Reserve Copper Burst

Parker 45 with a modified medium nib - Noodler's Liberty's Elysium

Conway Stewart No. 475, 14K medium/fine nib, nice flex, - Noodler's North African Violet

The paper is 20# bond, ruled with dashes at 1 cm spacing, the dashes are printed at 20% black. For anyone interested, the typeface is Californian FB; originally commissioned by the University of California and designed by the late Frederic W. Goudy in 1938. The digital adaptation was done by the Font Bureau. California Oldstyle is proprietary and still the official typeface of the University of California.

The Indian copy of a Pelikan, it's piston-filled:

Today I used a Montblanc 144 (Midnight Blue), a Burgundy 163 (blue ink), a Black 163 (black ink), and 3 Preppy's (2 were highlighters) with Noodler's Apache Sunset, Firefly, and Lightning Blue.

Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

I got this pen in 2010 and I paid a ridiculous sum for it NOS from Bryant. I only used it once since then. I pulled it out to sell it, inked it up for a writing sample for the sale, and ever since then have been waffling about keeping/selling it. I love it so much, that I'm battling the urge to keep it. Let's just say I haven't made the listing yet.

saskia_madding, you are kind of preaching to a choir here :). I guess most people are going to tell you to keep the pen. It is, after all, a most beautiful pen, and a great writer at that. I am not sure what I would do in your situation... May I offer you an example of my own? I happen to own a beautiful Aurora 88 Large with a Mike Masuyama custom XXF nib. The pen is absolutely beautiful, and writing performance is flawless. However, whenever I need an XXF line, I find myself reaching for my TWSBI Mini XF, which has a fine nib, comparable to the Aurora XXF. Yeah, it's crazy that I prefer a pen that cost almost ten times less. No, it is not a better pen, not even close, but it fits my particular needs better. So I have decided to sell the Aurora. My main reason for collecting pens is to write with them. I usually just sell the pens I don't use. Yes, sometimes I lose money, but at least the pen ends up with someone who will use it.

I received my Morgan yesterday! And my handwriting still sucks!

Preacher8 : Why do you say so - handwriting sucks. No, it is perfectly ok. Of course we know we can't dare to stand even remotely close to one like Akustyk, Pterodactylus or David out here. But it is enough that we still dare, and it is their greatness that they are so encouraging and supportive.
