(Mont Blanc 344 - M ..... Rohrer & Klingner Blu Mare)

Hi Akustyk,

I feel often the same, there are so many great inks out there.
But I already have more ink than I ever will need, so I try to limit myself buying new ones. ..... but often I fail. :gaah:

Your writing is just perfect.

I also like the Rotring Artpen, the italic nibs are very good.. is it a 1.1 or 1.5? I guess it´s a 1.1 right?

The Concord Grape isn't as vivid as I hoped for, honestly. Yet again, all ink batches are different. But after drying for a good 10 minutes, it gets rather vivid. Under the scanner though, it looks fantastic. In real life and through camera, its meh.

Love Widow Maker. Already feigned a bleeding nose with it and some paper towel! :P

Noodlers inks also have a strangely satisfying smell. :)

If you think everything is going well... you obviously have no idea what is really going on!

This lovely arrived in today's post. Muwahahahaha ... um ... I'm most pleased with it. Now to prise it from my lovely wife's hands ... ummm ... ask her if she's finished with it; it's a Parker Challenger, button-filler, fairly broad nib with some flex per She Who Must Be Obeyed ... ahmm ... my lovely wife; beautifully restored by Michael Clague of Iowa (mpcac on E-bay). The ink is Edelstein's "Tanzanite."

It's mine, mine, all mine, muwahahahahaha ... err, I'm happy to give it a home. Yes. Now, where is that Thorazine again, dear?

Here's my new EDC. It's to replace a Pilot Vanishing Point in Black Carbonesque which was my EDC from 2001 to 2011. Unfortunately I lost it during an office move. Over the next two years I tried a few other pens (Lami Safari, Parker 45, Noodler's Ahab, even went back to my my old Sheaffer Targa which was my EDC from 1989 to 2001) all of which I was happy with but none of which were as practical and convenient as the VP for a work pen.

Eventually I decided to commit and buy a new pen from Richard Binder. The pen is matt black with a 0.9 mm cursive italic nib. Lovely line variation and a very wet writer. As expected and carefully explained on Richard's website, it is quite sensitive to nib angle. I have been using it for a week and I believe it is already helping my writing by making me hold the pen more consistently.

I have tried it with Iroshizuku Asa Gao and Aurora Black (my only black ink) so far. For me it's the perfect work pen. I think it will work particularly well with Diamine Ancient Copper, but I killed my bottle last week (see the Inky thoughts forum for the whole story).
