Hi swanjun, I was using Sailor Jentle Ink Grenade for my first trial run of the TWSBI Mini.

And no need for swankier pens - any fountain pen will do. Heck, we even accept a typewritten note every once in a while! :)

That's a lot pinker than I had anticipated Grenade to be. Interesting... :)

You are totally right! My apologies. :) I think this is the partner to the image he was wowed by.

Sure looks like the Platinum 3776 Century in Chartres Blue to me! I just didn't think it looked that purple held up to the light. Wow!

Yes it is the Platinum 3776 Century Blue Chartres.

The the color in the above color and in this photo taken today with the phone is not the real color. In reality it is more purple.

In here you just see some purple in the borders, but it is more purple than this.

Here the light is terrible but is is clearly different than the one in the screen.

No this is extreme, you see the real color exaggerated. You have to imagine something in between with a bit more purple.

Super duper pen by the way, and it writes soooo nice. My favourite and a rebirth of my taste for fine nibs.

Ah... I feel so relieved to know! Might go try to find myself one that I can put a music nib on!

Pterodactylus,

The ink is Diamine Florida Blue. It looks like that under my fluorescent lit magnifying doohickey that was just above the paper.

@pterodactylus Mostly cost, I reckon. I only have a couple in this category (Sheaffer Triumph Tuckaway, Pelikan m205).

@pomperoero Holy expletive, that is a gorgeous pen!

The pen I restored today is a D.W. Beaumel "Durabilt", made in NYC in the early 1930s. The black and bronze celluloid is in remarkable shape and has enough gravitas that the only ink I could really decide on was black, and I chose Aurora Black because it is my longtime standby.

The other pen I've been looking at today, but haven't yet filled, is a first year Parker Vacumatic Senior.
