This original Sheaffer (green striated)... was an eBay find (as is sale) with a broken tine... The only solution was to switch the nib or stub the hell of it.. :lol: ... Now, is amazingly smooth...

I guess I am getting the hang of this lens.. not perfect, but much better than yesterday. Yesterday it took me 15 tries to get one decent pic. Now, it only took me 5 tries.... :lol:

Speaking of which, I made a rather interesting green colour accidentally today. Dipped my 52 in Ancient Copper, then forgot and went to Apple Glory... Then water to clean that out a bit... The resulting green was very pretty. Almost reminded me of MONEY.

Here's a scan following my excitement and the colour recreated.

My scanner also kinda sucks. It actually has some cool properties to it. Light to really dark, but very watery and feathery as a result.

Very close to Diamine Umber which someone on here said reminded them of a Dollar bill.

I thought so too. But, only during downstrokes or when more pressure is applied, then it is actually pretty much exactly like Umber. Everywhere else, it is a few bits lighter.

In real life, to my eyes, it is just a touch darker than the Noodlers El Lawrence: https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/uploads/imgs/fpn_1330118779__swabs.jpg

It is rather amazing how much computer screens and scanners distort the colours that our eyes see.

Edit in: then after you let it sit for a while... The Umber-look turns into the Noodlers colour, just two touches darker. ;)

Playing with my newly repaired little Eagle. It's a little faded, but, now the nib is cleared, is a sweet little writer. Inked up with Sailor Epinard...

Bruce, I don't think I'm one of the "members with the larger accumulations," but here's a pen that's new to me and I'm really liking it.

P.S., what are "EDC pens?"

What a beautiful pen. Love the ample nib size! Where can one get Fred Faggionato pen's online? any link?

@UncleRed

Tried the cold water, first. Actually soaked the [expletive deleted] thing for a week to no avail..

Finally just knocked the nib/feed out, scraped the feed channel clean (powdered ink everywhere), re-assembled, re-attached the sac, waited a bit, reassembled and it's been a happy little writer!
