If you think everything is going well... you obviously have no idea what is really going on!

I got my repaired and re-nibbed Omas Ogiva back on Saturday. Here it is but not a good pic - I don't 'do' macro!

http://i.imgur.com/ueBraIh.jpgHad to get "creative" to open this baby up. i used the cap of a pilot parallel as a punching block with a piece of foam inside to avoid damage and used plumbing tape around the grip section of the Falcon to it wouldn't fall into the cap :D
It writes with flex with speed now, no problems with skipping. Ink is Pilot Iroshizuku Tsuki-Yo. Huray!

This is for Uncle Red!

But the photos don't quite show the difference. I think Visconti Bordeaux has more brown and Maroon is more pink than Ruby. Ruby just GLOWS from within. It's really jewel like.

And a new arrival this morning. The filling system is working on this one. irrigger: my striped Duofolds both use the speedline filling mechanism. Uncle Red: don't think I have the tools to fix up my blue Duovac--I'll patiently wait for the Philly pen show to come around and make a mad dash to Ron Z's table :)

Aye, the clip did indeed break off, Uncle red. The two holes for the original rivets remain.

Add in the Sheaffer white dot, lifetime nib. Amazes me just how *thick* that nib is... It's next to the TWSBI for comparison purposes. Not talking about length/breadth/etc. It's just a thick slab o' metal for a nib!

Last night I inked up a great writing and often overlooked pen - the Pelikan M20 Silvexa. I've had a couple of these and settled on one with a BB nib that has a little flex and is fantastically smooth. Here's what it looks like, inked with Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Brown ink:
