Pterodactylus, I remember that post. The metallic blue ink was stunning. I've never has success dipping FP inks until the Urkundentinte. I'll certainly post results from the dip pen ink when I get it.

I think when adding enough gum arabic you can write with almost every fluid ;)

The metallic ink feels very sticky, I'm almost sure that I can also use it as glue.

Irrigger and attika89, those are impressive micro-writing samples. It looks like your pens (the 51 and the VP) scale up pretty well to handle everyday writing as well. Mine (the Sailor 1911) never looks quite right at normal size; maybe it's my writing.

Uncle Red, oh yes please. If it's not too much trouble, I would like to see writing from a fine CI.

Hi Uncle Red. I really like my Fusion nib but honestly cannot tell if the two metals give better ink flow or not. It does write well and I like the look and feel of it. The persona is a great pen, writes beautifully, and IMHO looks great but it is quite heavy. You just now made me aware of Worther pens. I like the look of the Profil--similar to my Lamy and cheaper. My Persona was discontinued a while ago and it is a true keeper.

Hi irrigger. Yes, I do like the Syrah in my Pelikan. I've only been writing with it for a day, but so far it looks great. Nice shading.

Hi Pterodactylus. On my desk the Syrah ink looks like a deep red wine, as it should given its name. I don't see much pink here but looking at the white balance on the picture I posted, I can see how it would look that way.

I can't believe the tiny writing that some of you can do! I could barely ready that with a loupe, and there's no way I can write that small with my eyes the way they are. It's pretty cool to look at!

DRWWE, I have one of those Delta pens with a Fusion nib - mine's a stub - and I agree, they write great!

Here's a pen I inked today and have decided to sell as it just doesn't get used. It is as near perfect a 1920s pen as I've ever seen. It is soooo hard to sell pens because every time I put ink in one and use it I fall in love with it again.

Amazing ink, Ptero... Does it take ages to dry?

Be forewarned... I will eye-bang the bejeezus out of your pens...

It depends, when you use it in such a wet pen like this Waterman (and this is really really wet) then it takes long until it does not smear anymore.

I used a blotter paper before I put the pen on it and I can almost read the text (mirrored) on it.

But when I rub now my fingers on it it doesn't (almost) smear anymore.

So IMHO it behaves better as PR Tanzanite.

I like the color and the sheen very much, but it is not a ink you can use without wait times in a wet pen.

dcpritch and pterodactylus: I say WOW to your woodgrain pens! Double WOW!

pterodactylus: forgot say thanks for your link to the "metal ink site"! I'll have to try making such ink one day.

Exquisite! Too bad I don't have the scratch to take this one off your hands. Please see that it finds the best home!

I forgot to mention I was using a Sailor Sapporo Mini with a 14k Music nib (unmodified), a pen that will never get me even an honorable mention in the tiny writing contest. And the ink is Montblanc Irish Green.

Some blurry photos this time, I deeply apologize, but I'm doing this in my office with fluorescent lighting. Like I said before, I don't have much chance of winning the tiny writing contest.
