Btw.

Does anybody of you know which Signum P5xx models I have exactly?

Mate Stainless Steel, Steel Nib, bought begin of the 80s.

These were my second and my third fountain pens in school (and still in use over 30 years).

The first, a Pelikano from the 70´s did not survived my beloved treatment. wink.gif

Oh goodness, Danleaf, I didn't mean for you to do that! I've just wondered, especially since getting reacquainted with daily FP use, what sort of Parker my old school "buddy" was lol! It's so kind of you to offer, though. What a great group of folks we have here.

Pretty sure this is Diamine Twilight, as inked up in my P51...

Is that a fine or medium nib in your 51?

Thank you! The history of it makes this pen even more meaningful. According to Malcy's review of the 2060, these pens were manufactured in 1940 with salvaged machinery following the destruction of MT&Co's London factory during the Blitz. That's the kind of can-do attitude I find so endearing in my UK friends and that I try to instill in my boys.

Great looking Swan you have there, in fantastic condition. I have one close to that, but not exactly the same: the SM1/58 in a clipless version; the color pattern is called Russet Jade. SM = Swan Minor. 1 = Nib Size. 58 = Color, which nearly sums up my knowledge of the MT&Co numbering system. These all are great writing pens, not to mention handsome.

Jiggered if I know, Toy...I'm inclined to call it a fine, but, I have very little experience with much wider... It is definitely narrower than, say, my Bulow's medium nib, or my Esterbrook's medium oblique... But it is also wider than the fine point on my Rotrings... So... All that to say... Jiggered if I know... ;-)

Be forewarned... I will eye-bang the bejeezus out of your pens...
