Steve...I have the expert in silver... had it for about three years before I inked it up... bought in on the bay because it came with a new bottle of florida blue and was going for less than the bottle of ink... after this forum started, it prompted me to look in my box... it is a really nice pen...I have been usinig it at work for a few weeks now, really a nice balance, and look. The blue version is stellar!

That Baystate Blue is taunting me... in my sleep it tells me we need to meet... YES IT IS A SICKNESS...

thinking about diamine pumkin as well...

Yes. Once you have seen that 'loud and shouting' blue and smelt* this ink, (dye?), there's no going back to earthly shades of blue!

* Rather reminiscent of one's first smell of burnt gunpowder; it stays in the olfactory memory forever.

I have sacrificed a good pen to include this awesome blue in my palette.

I think the Expert 1's have a better nib, but for balance, I agree 100%, the Expert 2's feel great.cloud9.gif

Brilliant drawings and witty comments; please keep entertaining us.rolleyes.gif

Blessings and Best regards,

Steve.

P.S. Love the subtle bottom right corner!

what is the hand / style that you are using here.

and what size nib is it.

Hi Daniel, and welcome to FPN! That hand is called "50 year old guy doing the best he can with a wide nib". The nib is probably 1.3mm wide.

I think I have downloaded too many photos......

Just received a really nice Gold Starry, with a #7 flexible nib. Gorgeous pen all black.

Happy Easter to everyone and have a great weekend.

Welcome, MiamiArchStudent! I remember when every pen I purchased had to fly 'under the radar.' I think that's why I was so fascinated with the Lamy 2000 early on. I must say, the Paragon is very lovely.

Thanks! The Paragon, is basically the perfect pen for me.

I'm a fan of solid silver pens like those from Aurora and Montegrappa, I also have a few Montblanc WE's (the Jonathan Swift being my favorite, again a black and silver pen), and a lot of bold red pens from Montegrappa. Oh, and the wonderful Delta Dolcevita's. I'm not afraid of color but, they are mostly reserved for use at home.
