:happyberet: sorry about the blurry shot... this is the famed Koh i noor Artpen nib that the makers of the Simpsons litterally took off the maret by buying every available pen that showed up... they are designed for an india type ink and have a very soft gold nib. this is usng the artpen ink, however I find it behaves much better with a FP ink...

:crybaby: No... I am not crying... my eyes are....leaking....

and....

everyone has heros, dr. seuss is one of mine...

I'm a little disappointed I can't take a clear picture. I wish you all could see the beautiful shading this stub lays down especially with the Gray Flannel.

@JazzDoc, thanks for sharing your sentiments earlier re: Easter, etc. I hope you have a blessed Passover if you're celebrating.

@Flake, nice to see you on here again.

In other news, I think I'm going to send the Model T back. SJH, I tried your trick, and it just didn't work for very long. The seller's disclaimer said he would take any pen that didn't meet the satisfaction of the buyer. So I think I'll take him up on that.

OK gang here is my Caw's piston filler, it has a 14kt nib, adjusted by Pendleton Brown, and writes wonderfully. I was really excited to get this in my hot little hands and used it most of the day.

How do you dilute?

Dilution means.. mixing with water.

Thanks, Cyber6. Guess I deserved that. I thought maybe you folks had a technique, formula or other FPN secret for a dilution.

Was a good question JazzDoc so don't hassle as there are other things that you can dilute with.

I would also say that perhaps it may be best to use distilled water and not just tap water because of the impurities.

While on the subject, if you find an ink too runny you can use Gum Arabic to thicken it up.

Of course I use my own brews which, even if they don't work, I don't care!! :ltcapd:

until the next day that is! :gaah:

I use watercolors, inks, and varous forms of prismacolor markers and pencls... I have quite a few inks, but not many colors of purly fountain pen ink... yet....this forum is changng my mind in all that.

SJH that purple is exquisit.

Wondering for those that have both... Vac 700 or Mini? Which is your go to.
