Uncle Red...

Here are a couple more photos of the Permapoint by Eberhard Faber... this is a 1940's pen in brown snakeskin. The nib arrived to me, craced. I replaced with this nice soft 14k gold nib.

This is unique, a double strike on the clip...

and here is the replaced nib, business end...

Did you get that on eBay? I was watching a very similar looking pen then decided not to bid.

Wow! That's a really impressive post - writing, pen, ink, the whole idea. May I ask if this is the Extra-Fine or Fine Falcon? I've been toying with the idea of getting one, and it seems that the Extra-Fine would be better. Do you have any advice? Thanks!

This thread is moving so fast. I apologize if I left anybody out, I just can't keep up. It's become like Twitter for me. Fun.

Thanks! This is a fine point Falcon. I really like this pen, cause the nib is quite different from what I'm used to. It's a bit "springy". A fun fountain toy :-) If I were to complain on anything, I would like the ink flow to be a little bit richer, not much, only a hint. I wonder if the medium nib gives a little more ink.

I've a couple of these nibs: one on a 400 and the other on a 420. They're really nice. Pictures soon!

Edit: Yikes, the dreaded double post! Sorry, all.

Edit #2: I'm going to edit once again and add this (poor Ms. Wahl... but she's ok):

If you think everything is going well... you obviously have no idea what is really going on!
