Got several new inks not because I needed them, but because I couldn't resist Jetpens sale. So without further adieu -

This is a fun thread. While I have not gotten it yet, the thread has inspired me to get some Diamine Ancient Copper ink. I really like what I am seeing with that ink.

Sorry for the out of focus nib shot on the Platinum. I guess I don't have steady hands with my phone.

This is a Cross Aventura. Nib is a nail, but I like the body style and the chrome trim.

I have been trying to,aquire a nice J for quite awhile now and can't seem to get lucky. I have never owned a vintage pen and this is the model i have been trying to pickup to start my entry into the vintage world. Hope i am not starting something that will become an obsession. I love the look of the copper J. Love the pics! Thanks for posting.

You're doomed, I started with a nice J from an antiques mall, $7. That small purchase has cost me dearly, now looking at my drawer, maybe 60+ pens, mostly vintage... yep, you are up the proverbial creek.... Good luck and enjoy the vintage pens, they each have a character all their own.

If you think everything is going well... you obviously have no idea what is really going on!

I am in...and so it begins. With a little help (actually a lot) i just bought my first Esterbrook Bandless Dollar Pen in Copper. Based n comments it sounds in really nice condition. Firm fine nib, and i like that. I can not wait to get it.

This thread is like writing letters the old way without having to post them. Best of both worlds.
