Uncle red- the SD is a fantastic pen. I can't put it down. It is to me a very comfortable pen to hold. The nib is smooth with just a hint of feedback. Very pleased with the pen. Wish I had gotten a black one as well.

The clip and cap band are sterling silver. The body and cap are made of unfinished ebonite with red woodgrain ebonite accents. After 15 years of use both the silver and ebonite have a nice patina. Piston filler.

Butter smooth nib.

Wow!

This combination of designer-pen, silver-craft, nib, ink and even the paper is lovelythumbup.gif.

Best regards,

Welcome aboard!

This is definitely the place to start. It's where the nib hits the page!

It has been an awesome thread, I have been thoroughly entertained for days.

All the best with your FP journey.

Take care mate,

Steve.

Non-written responses this time as I am in transit and dare not open my ink bottles at the moment.

Uncle Red - I knew not that it was discontinued. What a pity! But as long as Storm remains in production, I shall not complain overmuch.

Pelman, bcbg - Merci biennn~

hellomms - Viva la Vista! It was the first stylo-plume I gave a dear friend, who now uses FPs exclusively too. How do you like it?

dcpritch - Bleu Pervenche in a hosepipe of a writer. I keep forgetting to ask: what is that lovely paper you are using? For I have yet to see Lie de Thé appear as appealing as it does in your photos.
