What pen/ink is being used? Love them.

Mont Blanc 144 with Iroshizuku Yama Budo. They look great together even if they are hiding in shame for being used to make that travesty up there. :)

Honestly, anyone who's worried about posting because they're worse... You don't need to be. I'm too comfortable to seek out pen and paper and camera right now, but I do have a tablet for my computer, so...

Well, Adm. Lord Nelson switched (perforce) to writing with his left hand, in middle age, and with a dip pen, yet...fairly legibly, too. I have a facsimile copy of the last of his diaries, from 1805. They didn't print then, so the writing is all "joined-up" as they call it. I can read most of it, though some words I can't make out. Whether that's a function of eighteenth-century penmanship in general, or his own, I couldn't say.

However, by 1805 he'd been doing it for several years. I've no idea what his Lordship's writing in 1798 must have looked like...that might be interesting to dig up.

Teaching myself italics. Might as well use both hands. The top paragraph is written with my nondominant right hand and the bottom with my dominant left had.

An eye for insignificant details is a good sign you will do just fine in medical school...

As a sharp wit and powerful sarcasm is a sign that you already have.

When writing with the other hand I know it's not going to look the same so why bother comparing them?

Don't know if it's relevant or not, but I ran a series of guitar classes at Penn State's Free University a long while ago. Far more people showed up than we had planned, so thinking quick, I asked for volunteers from the more advanced players to teach the beginners. When some of the advanced players had trouble grasping how hard it is as a beginner, I had them flip their guitars over and try to play with their "other hands".

It worked!

I think writing other-handed does stimulate brain pathways that have never been used. But wait! We're adults and our skulls are solid now. Will they explode from the pressure?
