Vintage Aurora 88 Nib Sizes

Does any one know what the various markings on the blind caps of vintage Aurora 88 indicate in regards to nib width, flex? I have pens with a circle, a dot, a dot within a circle marked on the blind cap base. Thanks for your help. You may respond directly to jonr529@aol.com

Just to add to the confusion, I heard that the color of the cap tip indicates the nib size. My hooded 88 has a silver color cap tip. On the blind cap there is a countersunk round hole, forming a ring. Within the hole there is a second smaller ring. This pen draws a 0.22 to 0.25 mm line width - which is EF even by Japanese standards.

Copy the picture then expand it. Across the top it translates as "flexible, medium, hard" and down the left as "fine, medium, broad".

The symbols are, a dot for fine or dot in a circle for broad, with just a circle for medium. Colours are green for flexible, white for medium, red for hard.
