Leather Pen Case

I picked up this single pen leather case, which I had imagined dates from the 1950's. It is an attactive vintage item which I have been using for a while now, without paying attention to its origin.

 

The zipper has name Trix "Made in Germany" on it, which would suggest pre WW2 or 1990's (very unlikely).

 

Can anyone throw any light on the background, and particulary the distinctive logo?

DFB=Deutscher Fußball Bund=German Football Assosciaton. The logo is the 1945 version, so it's post-WW2.

would this have been a generally available item, perhaps like a modern "Bayern Munchen" Parker Ballpoint ? or something of more limited circulation?
