Great pen cases by the way and free international delivery which is very rare indeed. Have you gone for a 6 or 13 ?

Gone for a 6 - have got a 5 drawer pen case that sits at home with the pens not currently in use - only 3 drawers are full but I have a large wish list!

You can't have too many fountain pens.....

:notworthy1: :puddle: :yikes:

Oh my gosh! And you have more :yikes: .

May I ask how long you have been collecting Montblancs?

Regards

My parents gave me my first Mont Blanc for my 21st birthday 16 years ago and they unleashed a Monster :roflmho: ;)

I gave my favorite human a 149 extra fine for Christmas, so I get to use it whenever I want. I gave my friend and tenant a 144 medium, so I get to visit it often. And, thanks to a fellow FPN member, I got myself a Montblanc, finally! It is a beautiful 121 with the oblique broad nib. I just got it and LOVE it. It is also the only black pen that I like.

So, I guess that counts really as one MB in my collection, even though I get to fondle the others as I like. They are all wonderful writers.

I think the 144 is going to get ground down to an extra fine, though, unless somebody wants to trade nibs.

Don't you wish we could use our pens to write on the Fountain Pen Network Fora?

I only have a Starwalker Cool Blue FP with a medium nib. It's my favourite pen. It's beautifully weighted and balanced and so smooth (important for a left hander like me). It's my first MB and won't be my last.

I don't really have a Montblanc collection, more just an accumulation. I bought a few slim MBs in the late 50s and early 60s and a couple 146s and a 149 new in the 70s and 80s more to see what they were like than anything else. Others just kinda showed up, another 149 in a whole bunch of pens a friend gave me, a couple other older pens that looked interesting and were priced right. But it's never been a focal point that would justify calling it a collection.

MB 149 B nib, Large Boheme M retractable nib. This is probably IT for my lifetime. I use them with great pleasure and appreciation.

Well, now that I look at it I have more than I thought...

1. Transitional early 90's 149 2-tone 14c fine nib <<< This has always been my grail pen

2. 144 single tone 14c medium nib

3. Starwalker with 14k medium nib

4. 164 gold trim rollerball

5. 164 platinum trim rollerball

6. 164 gold trim ballpoint

7. Generation gold trim 14k medium nib

8. Generation gold trim ballpoint

9. Generation platinum trim rollerball

Would like to get a 146. Never been real big on the limited edition pens but I would love to own a 75th anniversary ballpoint and fountain pen although I doubt I'll ever be in a position to get either one.

Thanks. I always enjoy seeing your all sterling Dietrich. One of the coolest pens in the MB fold IMHO.

Wow, that is one selected, beautiful collection! I really admire people who can limit themselves buying just a few, well-chosen pens, giving shape to a strongly personal collection.

Really nice collection, Blade Runner! May be with the only exception of the Fitzgerald, which is not among my preferred pens, I like each one of yours! The Dumas and the Wilde are some of the best WE, IMO. And I like your silver and your steel solitaires, and the 146 in her three versions (gold, platinum and burgundy) and, of, course, the great 149. A very good tray to live with... Ah, and the old Diaries & Notes pouch in tan, which can hold two large 149 or WE! Congratulations.
