IMVHO any FP collection (not only MB) should include THE PEN, the 149.

So my MB collection is composed by just two 149 (EF and OBB), both from late '80.

Will consider an earlier M, sooner of later.

So true... yet whenever I say I must get a 149, a WE or special edition always seem to pop up! :roflmho:

I disagree, I have over 20 Montblanc pens and none are a 149. I have a 147 which I love but it rarely gets inked.

My pens are in my signature.

Maxthefatduck, you've got some great pens. I'd love a white porcelain pen, maybe one day.

I only have a Starwalker Cool Blue Fountain Pen BB nib and the Meisterstück Diamond Rollerball.

In August for my birthday I would like a 149 with OBBB nib. Has anyone got the OBBB nib on a 149 and if so, what is it like?

As I am quite young (fourteen), I hope to collect many, many Montblanc pens in the years to follow, and possible the Meissen- Masters for Meisterstück.

In my opinion they are fantastic Montblancs, :notworthy1: and I am really looking forward to viewing the photographs, especially the Meissens. :puddle:

;)

Only a 146; it's all the collection I need.

My collection consists:

Bordeux 147 (M)

Black/Gold Mozart (M)

Black/Gold 144-W. Germany Model monotone Nib (M)

Bordeaux 144- Early 90's two tone nib (F)

Solitaire SS Cap Doue 144 (F)

I might go for a 149 one day, but I'm satisfied with my line up right now. I'm not a huge collector and I buy mostly for daily use in my rotation. I haven't seen a MB collection thread for a while. Thanks for starting it!

19 MB 149's most with custom nibs for me to use them to draw with. The 149 is the perfect pen, the perfect nib--especially when you get them tweaked by a nibmeister!

149 with broad "stubish" nib purchased used from a FPN member and a Boheme large size retractable M nib . I purchased this pen on the run at Charles de Gaulle airport not really aware of what exactly i was buying. I think it was displayed next to a 146 and I was drawn to the size ( its about the same size as the 149) and platinum trim. The nib is wonderful and seems to improve with age.

I have an earlier version Montblanc "shoe" ink bottle that I emptied of the Montblanc black so it could hold my Ecclesiastical Stationary Supplies Registrar's Ink. That will probably be my only Montblanc purchase, but it works well. Ink well, now that I think about it...

6 vintage 149s and 3 vintage 146s but this collection may grow up

Okay, no one has posted pics so I will start. This is probably very modest compared to some of the long time collectors, but here goes:

Oh, sorry about the three on the left. OOPS.
