Visconti Repair

Hello all! I am actually inquiring about this for my friend who has a Visconti FP (With the chain-mail exterior) that he obtained through a pen show. He knew that it was broken when he bought it, but it seems that the ink will not suck up into the chamber. The piston may or may not be broken. The question is this- if he sends it to Visconti, does anyone know what the charge would be to fix it? Also, are there any pen repair men/women that are recommended for this job? Thanks for any help/advice!

PS- I probably should have posted this in Repair Q&A. Sorry, Mod!!

In the U.S. you send it to Cole's down here in Florida. The contact info is in the pinned thread at the top of the Penne forum. They generally charge a $25 handling fee to begin with. You'd have to contact them for an estimate.

I'm not sure if you mean the Rinascimento chain mail or the Camelot. The latter is definitely worth fixing and the former should be fairly easy as I believe it's actually a captured convertor mechanism.
