Nice pen Vaibhav. Can I ask what material is used for the making of the pen. It looks marvelous !

Using these two pens today, both had the stock medium nibs Ranga uses. The model 5 nib was smooth and wet but a thick medium. In complete contrast the duofold's nib was very fine, scratchy and dry - despite both nibs being apparently the same. Swapped the nibs with ones from Mehandiratta's group buy, now both write beautifully. Time to improve my handwriting!

R & K Alt Goldgrun has proven to be my driest ink. My Galactic does have a jowo broad nib. Thanks for the tip, for my Chesterfield Inks tend toward the wet side and prove more saturated in color with my broad & 1.1 stubs.

I use pelikan 4001 blue black..a pretty dry ink...able to write even in cheapest papers with minimal ink bleed..

ASA Galactic with JoWo broad nib. Inked with Chesterfield Antique Crimson. Southworth Fine Parchment Paper. My ASA arrived in the mail 6/7 and now putting it thru its paces. Truly it is a wet nib, and will need to use a dryer ink. Will ink the pen with R&K Alt Goldgrun to see how it works. The nib is almost smooth as butter--for a steel nib. I already love the feel of this pen; the flow of the ink; and the smoothness of the nib. This is a WINNER!!   Thank you Mr. Subramaniam!!

Fountain Pen Revolution Jaipur with the F.P.R. 1.0 stub. For the price point, this is a very smooth writing pen. Cost: $18 - pen & $3 for the 1.0 stub nib. The pen is functionally attractive. The grip/section is comfortable with smooth threads, and the nib is wet, with no skipping. I have been putting this pen through its paces for the past week, and have not been disappointed. Of the F.P.R model pens, I now own the Treveni Jr. Ebonite, Treveni Jr. Acrylic and the Jaipur. As others have noted, their Customer Service is topnotch.

The thought inspiration for today comes from one of the most prolific poet of her times, Emily Dickinson.

The pen in rotation today is loaned to me by my friend Tervinder for nib grinding which is Fosfor Custom Pen with Red Bands and Bock Stahl (not so) Rot Nib. It is inked with my favourite Blue Black Ink : Edelstein Tanaznite.

Fosfor makes some amazing pens..im glad i joined these forums as its from here i came to know about the handmade FP gems like ASA,Ranga,Fosfor... much better than the branded pens actually.

most of my branded pens has gone into my collectible box over past few months!

Fosfor is next on my list after getting few more models i have selected from ASA &Ranga
