What Indian Pens Are You Using Today?

A no-name large size handcrafted Ebonite Eyedropper. Dark Blue/Black ripple with a med. iridium nib. Capped 144 mm. Required a bit of nib smoothing with 12000 grit micromesh. Used all day today, inked with Iroshizuku Kon-Peki. Inked with 2 1/4 ml. of ink. Did quite a bit of writing today, and did not experience any cramping of my right hand. Paid $10.51 (free shipping), so it is not an ASA or Fountain Pen Revolution Treveni/Jr ebonite pen, but for the price I'm rather satisfied.

I used my Asa galactic with diamine steel blue to make some note taking more interesting today. Seems a popular pen in this thread. Please ignore my handwriting!attachicon.gifIMAG1304.jpg

This is the picture seen on Ebay. My computer camera does not give me truly clear shots. As you can see it is not an ASA Pen or FPR quality ebonite pen, but it does the job as an eyedropper. Dark blue/black swirl.

The nib is now relatively smooth, with minimal feedback. I'm considering doing just a bit more smoothing. Made the nib wetter. Feels good in the hand. My only issue is that the clip is not snug & can rotate around if lightly turned. I was told the top would unscrew, however, I am not having luck unscrewing it. Trying to think of another option to keep the clip secure in place. Apart from that clip issue, for $10.51/free shipping, I am reasonably pleased. I wrote with the pen for about 3 hrs. yesterday without any cramping. I may also want to try for another nib (which will not be a surprise to you)!

**********************************************

NOTE: I decided to change the nib. I had an extra Fountain Pen Revolution #5.5/1.0 stub nib. Perfect fit, and now writes just as I like it. Smooth with hardly noticeable feedback. Once I resolve the clip issue, I will surely be content!

I really like the Fosfor woodgrain ebonite! I had not seen that ebonite variety before and will add it to my wanted list!

Red torpedo? The ripples suggest fast movement through a fluid, to me.

Its a brown ripple.

But I see what you mean, mhguda. :)

I want to give them more indian names. I have been looking into it, and thinking about it. I will give them all a name, and then I will make an official presentation :)
