I am testing today my Asa french Vermillon laquered ébonite fountain pen prototype, made with the kind help and advices from Fountainpagan :D It was almost perfect, until I realised I messed up with the threads, :crybaby: will have to make a second one ...

Here are some more photos. Photos are diffucult to take, because, I need lot of light for my 1 inch sized sensor camera. And the color of the pen varies a lot due to alizarine pigments, it goes from dark red, to very bright one in full light. Forgive me the dust on the pen and the polishing which I did with my hand and not with a lathe that wished to have.

On this the pen was not meant to be laquered, you can see the lines, of the band of the

cap. The next version ( will come in some months If I can get the protoype II ) will be an upgraded version on every single side.

I've been trying out a few different inks recently, that I don't want to risk using in my more expensive pens, so... here they are (all fitted with FPR stub nibs, for maximum juiciness!):

Took ASA Galactic in the morning to office. It became an instant hit. went back home for lunch. Took Gama Raja too with me. some notes, signatures, approvals....

I have these two wonderful pens inked up and in service right now.

 

1. Ratnamson Supreme with custom 14K Gold nib and inked up with Kale Blue ink.

 

2. A custom pen created by Fosfor pens with a Broad Jowo nib unit and inked with Montblanc Leonardo Red Chalk ink.
