The pen posse is still going to happen as scheduled. Come one, come all - we are going to have a lot of fun! Pendleton is the one that is going to miss out. :P

Well, yes, Pendleton, you told us that your family gathering plans had changed so the Colorado trip wasn't going to happen after all and that you couldn't afford to make a special trip to Colorado in order to attend our pen posse. How soon they forget! :P If you are in fact able to make it to our posse you will of course be more than welcome! :thumbup:

June 30th is getting closer and closer and our Pen Posse is going to be happening before we know it. I hope everyone is ready for this fun event - come one, come all, everyone is welcome. :thumbup:

 

If you haven't yet sent in your RSVP to Tamara (IWantThat) please do so soon - although walk-ins are definitely welcome as well, we would just like to have a general idea of how many will be coming to our posse.

 

Happy Thursday, everyone. Here's hoping that the sun might make a show at some point today - totally overcast here in Westminster after raining off and on all night - a welcome rain, I will admit, but somehow a day in Colorado without the sun just doesn't seem right! :P

It is indeed hard to say, terminal. He was very enthusiastic about joining us for a pen posse, then said he wouldn't be coming to Colorado after all, and then said he didn't remember telling us that he wasn't coming to Colorado and was definitely planning to be at our pen posse. My feeling is that Pendleton may not know what his schedule is going to be. If he does attend, that would be fine, if not, we will still have a wonderful time!

An FPN'er and good friend has donated one or two hand made pen rests (haven't decided yet) which will be raffled off at the June 30 CO posse. Pens not included. Wood is walnut.

Those pen rests are beautiful, Michele! (The pens aren't so bad either....lol)

 

Come on down - or up I guess - Ghost Plane; Florida isn't that far away that you couldn't take a quick trip here for our pen posse! :P

Only the budget is stopping me. Not that I haven't noticed Frontier Airlines has a non-stop flight. :headsmack:

Quick, win the lotto! I can certainly understand the budget thing, Ghost Plane - my travel allowance has been at $0 for quite a few years now. :( We'll save you a place at our pen posse just the same. :)

Anyway, it'll be fun, and I'm thinking of bringing some goodies as well...

My collection is so small that I will probably bring almost all of my pens, along with a few other fun things for "show and tell." :P

I, too, hope everyone here is still OK. The High Park fire is up near Fort Collins and has now burned over 46,000 acres; last reports say the fire is only about 10% contained and it continues to grow. :( On Tuesday the air in the Denver metro area was full of smoke from the fire due to the way the wind was blowing and you couldn't see the mountains. It hasn't been that bad before or since down here but I am sure the folks to the north are dealing with this on a daily basis.
