If you're doing another test, I would really like to see how Pilot Blue (or Namiki Blue, I'm pretty sure they're the same) holds up.

What is the BSB you're mentioning in some of the mixes?

BSB should only be mixed with the other Baystate Colors - Cape Cod Cranberry and Concord Grape.

CCC is one of my favorite ink colors. CCC is completely obnoxious and as eye searing as BSB but it's hot pink. The color is so bright, it's probably out lawed in communities that have any "taste". Thankfully, I live in Las Vegas so "tacky" is an adjective with which I am familiar.

Although it is not water proof or fade proof - I use BSB and CCC in all my fade experiments because it is an ink I know to fade quickly - so I can easily show the changes over time. However, even after it fades, the BS inks show up under black light.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I bought a bottle just for you!! Remind me when we do our next test. I'm thinking a six month experiment.

I think I'll need to try the Midway Blue. That looks like a shade of blue I might like, and is the most impressive not-super-dark blue test I've seen. That and Luxury Blue, but from online pictures I think I like the Midway color better.

Midway is the ink I recommend the most often. The color is vibrant without being obnoxious (though see above, I like obnoxious). The ink is water resistant enough for all but long term soaking. Most importantly, Midway doesn't clog up my pens and it doesn't fade. (And we all know I'm abusive).

That said, I always have a pen inked with Luxury Blue. That's because I sue banks and I am determined that you will always be able to tell my ORIGINAL signature - put some UV light on that baby.

I haven't had it up long enough to be sure it won't go, but Siren Blue (Scribal Work Shop; you should have sample if Ink Drop) is holding up so far (about 3 weeks). It is a dark blue, not a vibrant blue, but I like it.

So far, all 3 Scribal colors I have up (green, blue, black) are either not fading, or doing it very slowly (which is good enough for me).
