Today, these arrived for long point sharpening. Dirt cheap considering you get 20 units in the box, and, they arrived rather quick from India.

 

 

 

They were recommended by TJ Cosgrove from Wood and Graphite so of course, I had to try them!

I've been using the same make/model of pencil for decades. A Pentel P205. I started using them early in my career as a draftsman and have never used anything else.

They are not widely known. I became interested after reading about them at pencilrevolution.com

I must order them from India.

At the moment I am using a Nataraj Fluro Marble. I love the colors!

I'm kinda falling for 2mm lead holders again. I have a "pacific arc" clutch type H-1309, which is a rotring knockoff, but I didn't known that rotring made a normal drop clutch version of the 600, so now one of those is on the way.

 

But until it gets here, I'm sticking with the pacific arc (it just doesn't hold the lead far back enough to keep the point clear of the clutch, and the knurling doesn't feel rotring nice.)

Went back to my everyday pocket pencil of the rotring 800 0.5. That retractible tip and still having an eraser is just too convenient. The rotring 600 clutch pencil is a lot cheaper feeling than I expected. And the 800 is starting to get a nice patina from beating around in my pocket.

 

I did get a pentel super 8 clutch multi pen/pencil combo. That thing has been AWESOME at school for highlighting, correcting, and note taking. I actually really want one of those now with a metal body and clip. I'd absolutely replace my sailor pro gear multi pen/pencil if it did.
