A very nice Parkette, pair to an even nicer Parker Parkette, pre-war. Leads are 1.18mm, not very hard to get by these days. Works very well, and has a good heft to it.

Kaweco Skyline 3.2mm in fox red. Bought partly to match with my fox red FP. I've been sketching with it more, recently, and I'm enjoying how much more comfortable a short, chunky leadholder is with the overhand grip, which I'm trying to, ah, get to grips with.

I also like the lead that came with it - what is that, 5B? A good, easy range of tones from it; not too slippery and pale like some hi-B leads. (I'm looking at you, Faber-Castell)

General's Supreme #2 pencil, a decent overall classic yellow pencil, not exceptional compared to General's Cedar Pointe #2, Caran D'ache's School pencil, or Viking's School pencil, but will get the job done nonetheless....

If this is you, and the ink is in fine condition otherwise, don't dump it down the sink, or throw it into the trash, send it to me (payment can be negotiated), and I will provide it a nice safe home with love, and a decent meal of paper! Faber Castell TK-matic 0.5mm. It was the best around for Engineering Drawing in 1980, and I still haven't found a better mechanical pencil.

One reason I hadn't been using this nice little Parker more often was the eraser, a useless bit of petrified rubber. I couldn't seem to find the right size among my spare erasers, and carving a too large one down to the right size didn't work out so well.

Then I realized that I had a tube of spare Bic erasers that were just the right diameter when transferred to the original bracket. Problem solved. And I like the slim size, the .9 mm lead, and the twist mechanism.

Steadtler Mars Technico 780 2mm lead holder with Steadtler HB lead.

I never seem to stay away from this combination very long. I barely seem to use my other pencils for very long before coming back to the Mars.

They came with the Hovel pencil plane

Beautiful, xcuse me, how many turns to the right do you give to your pencil inside the sharpener? I found that 3 are the best for a good point.
