What Pencil Are You Using Today?

Black Rotring 600 0,5mm, which I bought just a few days ago, with whatever lead it came with. Incidentally, does anyone know for certain what lead that is? It seems rather soft for an HB...

Good choice. thumbup.gif

It is usually HB, could be B. I swap mine on any pencil with 2B/3B.

Back on topic: Today, it's a Lamy Logo twin pen, with whatever lead that came with. I’m too cheap to throw away those leads... :-)

(Back off topic: This lead, too, is nominally HB. Only if this is HB, then that Rotring lead is more like 2B. And if the Rotring is HB, then this is 2H... Can we have an ISO standard lead grade scale, please?)

Palomino Blackwing Volume 811 and Spoke 5 raw aluminum finish 0.5mm

I bought 2 boxes of the Volume 811. Should be great pencils

I just bought a Rotring Rapid Pro. Im a little disappointed that the red connector piece is made out of plastic. My Graphgear 1000 just broke for this very reason, and I was hoping the Rapid Pro would be all metal. Guess I should have read more reviews first. On the positive side it wasnt a whole lot more expensive than the Graphgear and I really like the weight and function

I ended up with three dozen, 1 from a subscription, and as soon as I used one I ordered 2 dozen more.

Today I have used:

Mitsubishi 9800 2B (c. $0.58 each)

Palomino Blackwing Vol. 4 (c. $2.08 each)

The Mitsubishis are almost as good as the Blackwings at a little more than a quarter of the cost.

I went to buy some leads and could not resist to buy more things that were not on the list:

The original lead holder has been with me for a few years, the new one is quite a looker!

Black really suits the design...

Today the gorgeous Caran d'Ache Varius China Black propelling pencil  gets into rotation. EDC/backup is actually a very nicely made Japanese propelling pencil made of old whiskey barrels.

Today I've been using a couple of DOMS Zoom Ultimate Dark Triangle Pencils. They have a great shape and excellent core, but I would prefer that they weren't painted with pastel colors (blue, purple, and pink).
