Staedtler Noris in B. I've been trying a Kura Toga but don't like it.

It matters not with what you write,

just write.

"No one can be a great thinker who does not recognize that as a thinker it is his first duty to follow his intellect to whatever conclusions it may lead. Truth gains more even by the errors of one who, with due study, and preparation, thinks for himself, than by the true opinions of those who only hold them because they do not suffer themselves to think." -J.S. Different day, different pencil. Today I'm using a Staples Metrix 0.7.

I don't know who actually makes them, but they are very nice.

It's cloudy and cool here in South Texas, so it seemed like the kind of quiet day to do some sketching.

That means I've had my Caran d'Ache Blackwood HB in heavy use. There were others, but that was the primary one.

Vintage Esterbrook in my shirt pocket (along with a Pilot CH 92 fountain pen). Rotring Tikky for a crossword at home.

Today a 0.4 Pilot S-10 NEOX B leads this is one I keep coming back to. For reference I just looked at my mechanical pencil spreadsheet and it is up to 171 :yikes:

Been using a 2002 Parker Dimonite lately. Love the weight and thicker barrel. I've had to customise all my other MPs with various rubber grips to make them wider,

Palamino 531 & 602.

Can't really see much difference between the two cores.

Th e531's point lasts longer, but from a handwriting point of view - there doesn't seem to be much difference.

I am of a similar opinion, when I had an opportunity to try them a while back.

In fact, IMO, the Lumograph/Tombow Mono felt just as good.

I guess the Palamino 'hype' is not for me especially considering UK prices. ;)

Maroon rOtring Tikky Special 0.5 I 'borrowed' from my dad when I was a child. I remember being fascinated by this pencil and how it felt so much better than any other mechanical pencil I had used (mech pencils were quite popular ) and specifically being teased by my co-students for taking a particular interest and protective nature of this unit. I didn't know anything about my rOtring only that it was old then. I still have it today, nearly 20 years later. There is some discoloration in the chrome components, but it is in otherwise perfect working order.

My other one is a recently acquired Waterman mottled red that is paired with a similarly styled Prefect fountain pen. Gorgeous.
