Nice set, Bill! (which is the understatement of the day...)

Dixon #2 today. It's a pencil I found on the ground, threw in the car, and have used ever since whenever I'm in the car and need a pencil.

There's nothing special about it, but it is an adequate pencil that does what you need a pencil to do.

I must admit, it's the Parker P207, 0.7mm lead is just right for design drawings and scribbles on the notepad. I have a Mont Blanc Meisterstuck 0.5mm pencil I was give as part of a set, but I feel like it is a little grand for sketching and definitely not one to lob into a pencil pot.

My EDC MP of late. Parker Vector. A recent find. Pretty solid with Japanese internals. 0.5mm filled with 4B Ain Stein lead. Tip not retractable but on the plus side there is minimal wobble.

Uni-ball Kuru Togo, 0.5 Mechanical pencil. Just the best for the amount of money it costs.

Do you find your writing style gives it a nice tip? I find with mine, the rotating mechanism is a bit hit and miss, and it feels just like the bog standard one I have from the office stationary cupboard...

I just got a Cross set ca. 1975 and both the pen and pencil still work (they are one year older than I am ;) ). I am trying to decide whether to keep them for myself or gift to my daughter, when she graduates next year.

Today I have a Paper Mate LOGO II with .5 lead and a twist eraser at work. I have loved mech pencils for many years. My dad had a Cross set he used daily when he did drafting work, and I used to write with it when he'd let me. I believe he had a Parker pencil too. I clearly remember the arrow clip that I think I may have bent by accident. :yikes:

I have lost smooth writing with kuru toga... so I don't use it that much anymore.... I also don't understand that reputation of great writer that follows it...

I really love those two. My Kerry is always in my pocket and this wooden Goldfaber is exceptional.

Indeed I did mean Pentel, not sure if that was on auto-correct error on my part or my phones keyboard.

Palomino Blackwing 602.

I finally used up the Dixon #2 that had been sitting on my desk and rather than grab a pencil from the pencil cup (pencils my kids bring home from birthday party favor bags, pencils they find on the ground, etc.), I decided to reach into the drawer for a nicer pencil. The 602 isn't my favorite pencil, but I've got a box that I need to use up eventually, so why not now?

Today used both Waterman Expert pencil and Wahl-Eversharp pencil (circa 1927) while annotating plans.
