Thank you for re-uploading.

This illustrates why we are asking members to share the photos here on the forum and not from an external source.

There is a large number of old pen-reviews that are useless because the external pictures have been deleted or shuffled around on an external site so they do not show up any more.

I'll try to paste the link to this photo in the older post...

And how do you do to share the photo directly, D.ick?Top of the page there is a row of buttons. One is called UPLOAD.

Top of the page there is a row of buttons, one is called Upload.

Press that button, and a new tab or window will open.

In that window you can either navigate to your own harddisk and choose a picture or navigate to a website and choose a picture there (In that case be aware of copyright!!!) After choosing the picture press: add picture. That will upload the pci to our servers. Now you have to past the link to that picture (on our server) by copying the BB-code and pasting that in the post you are making. You can first upload all pics you want to use and later take the respective BB-codes and then compose your post.

Good luck

I use Attached Images ....what is the difference?

Upload has almost unlimited capacity, but after a certain number of pics (I believe 5 MB maximum capacity) it is full and you can't add pics.

Also using the same picture again is easy with the upload facility, but very difficult with Attached Images.

The pencils that I am using today are my two TWSBIs. I've actually been collecting pencils for longer than fountain pens, although I now have far more FPs that I do pencils. Still, I had no idea of how many pencils I have until this thread inspired me to take inventory.

This first group are all Pentel pencils and were purchased to be used. As an engineer I have done a lot of technical drafting over the years and I like to have nice tools.

This next group are also users, but brands other than Pentel.

Group three are all Sheaffer Targa pencils that came along as part of sets. These are pencils that I had to buy in order to get the fountain pens that I wanted. I've never used any of these and probably never will.

And the last group are other Sheaffer pencils that came along with fountain pens that were not Targas. Same story, I don't use these at all.

Interesting, I have a Pentel PG5 which I bought last year, and while all the plastic parts look the same as your PG3, all the metal parts are different. The clip looks like the one on the P205 and the rings on the front and back metal parts of the pencil lack the rings.

Not too surprising. My PG3 must be at least 30 years old.

BillLS, holy pencils!

that's quite a drool worthy collection. Do you happen to have any retractable pencils that have lead grade indicators? (I know Pentel Graphgear 1000 does, but haven't found any others.)

The photo has my collection of pencils.

I use most of my pencils excluding the MB whenever I draw (several different leads.) I make my own grips because my middle finger was injured and knurled grips are irritating when I hold them a certain way. The Uni roulette is the worse offender so far. I'm getting a Rotring 600 and two Rotring 800's today! One of the 800's is a gift for someone else, and the 600 MIGHT be too... I must try it though. ;) I bet the weight + knurled grip will hurt my finger. (For now)

You bet I'm using ALL of my pencils today! I'm going to be comparing them with the Rotrings, and I'll be switching some HB leads to Uni's Nano-Dia 2B and 4B.post-129215-0-50322100-1460099520_thumb.png

Lead Grade Indicators: Only two of my pencils even have lead grade indicators and both of those pencils have fixed sleeves.

Knurled Grips: Take a close look at the grips on the TWSBI Precision pencils. The knurls are all gently rounded to lessen the irritation, I really like the attention to detail that TWSBI put into their design of this pencil. Now if only they had provided a lead grade indicator. . .
