What Pencil Are You Using Today?

This is what I used today. Pretty solid for non metal bodied pencil. I cannot find reference for this 0.5mm staedtler anywhere. Using eno-G 4B in it. This is the alternate for the other pencil that I use regularly which is a sheaffer 0.7mm of similar barrel size.

I was gifted a Retro 51 Tornado Albert Einstein pencil for Christmas, and have been using it almost daily since. I am loving the weight of it, and the length is just right. Not to mention, it looks friggin' cool. xD

I'm using this one today, and most other days too. I love the look, feel, and age of it. It uses drafting leads. Pretty sure it was a cigar premium, and it's called the "UWANTA" pencil. It's fun to carry around.

It's January, so I'm still trying to decide what pencil to use down to a stub this year. The contenders from my pencil drawer are currently a General's Kimberly 2B, Staedtler Mars Lumograph 2B, or a Hi-Uni HB.

Today I'll be using the Lumgraph 2B.

Uni Kuru Toga metal body mechanical pencil. Lovely weight balance and grip section. The lead rotates as you write so it stays sharp always.

Clipless Pentel P205 for now. Love it. It is a classic for a reason and it makes the gold standard for all entry-level/non-luxury mechanical pencils, imo.

I am currently on a mission to built up a pencil collection. But unlike with fountain pens, this time I am going to avoid impulse/later-regretted buys. I am doing my homework and when I am ready I will make educated choices.

Staedtler Lumograph 2B. I prefer the HB for regular writing, but I'm on a mission to build up a stash of pencils less than 5 inches long so that they fit safely inside my journal and I figure the 2B will erode faster.

Pentel Kerry. It's a lovely pencil to use, plus its small and protected packed size means it's great to transport around.

I've got two of those. They're great pencils.

This are my favourites, if I lose one of them it's no tragedy.

In August 2014, I bought two 10-packs of DIXON #2 pencils @ 94¢ per pack, during the Wal-mart "back-to-school sale. Still using 'em, with my Dad's electric Bostitch sharpener.
