Oh, yeah, rub it in........ :(

No, just kidding, great that you do like it so much, just shows that it does not have to be expensive to be nice and functional.

Enjoy

I felt like using a round-barreled pencil today.

"No one can be a great thinker who does not recognize that as a thinker it is his first duty to follow his intellect to whatever conclusions it may lead. Truth gains more even by the errors of one who, with due study, and preparation, thinks for himself, than by the true opinions of those who only hold them because they do not suffer themselves to think." -J.S. Mill, On Liberty

I'm currently using a black Rotring 600 7mm, a black Rotring 300 5mm, and an old Pentel 5mm I bought brand new in 1987. All the Pentel shows on the barrel is an embossed rectangle that says Graph pencil. I also have a silver Levinger Rotring style 600 in 5mm.

So space and time are linked together. As we are looking across space, we are looking back in time. The further and further away those stars are the further back in time you are looking. Now you are seeing a star that is say six thousand years ago. Imagine somebody at that star looking at us They would be seeing us as we were six thousand years ago. Which of those two is now? - Alan Parsons Project The Time Machine - Temporalia (Paraphrased)

I think you mean .5 and .7 there...?

Yup, the sizes I quoted were as printed on the barrels, however I should have said 0.5mm not 5mm!

I'm using a black Eversharp Skyline mechanical pencil that Teri Morris from Peyton Street Pens sent me as a gift with my last order. It's a great pencil. Thanks, Teri!

My Parker 51 Vacumatic pencil's barrel came with a crack that has slowly gotten longer, and developed a second one. So I bought a Vacumatic Green Pearl barrel to replace it--and it finally arrived today. It's lookin' spiffy with the gold-filled cap. ;) This will be my sketch-tool for the day!

Thanks. This one is of particular sentimental value since it was my first "high end" mechanical pencil and I've had it since about 1986. Now 29 years old and still working fine.

Been on a bit of a wood-cased pencil buying binge lately, I've just received a dozen "vintage" Mongol drawing pencils (lead degree H), and I'll sharpen one or two and take them for a test-drive. I'm partial to the harder degrees even for plain writing and jotting.

I move back and forth between several different pencils and lead holders for my writing, depending on my mobility and the type of paper that I am using. Lately I have been using the Tombow 505 Zoom. It's a nice looking pencil and travels well, but it does take a little getting used to if you are switching to it from thinner drafting pencils (my usual instruments of choice).

Just got a Cross ATX Sage Green ballpoint in the mail today, and turned it into a 0.7mm pencil with the Cross Switch-It converter. I am quite enjoying myself over here. :D
