Short, wooden Faber Castell. Orange bodywork and a black rubber. (4+1/2 inches)

A friend gave it to me. I thought it had been used a lot, due to the short length - but she'd bought a box of them, all like that, new.

Simple and efficient. Not going to change my life, but I like it.

As I'm finding out!

I am finding out the same thing!

Is it fair for an intelligent and family oriented mammal to be separated from his/her family and spend his/her life starved in a concrete jail?

I am using a Pental 120 A3 dx 0.5mm lead, my favorite model of mechanical pencils, it also comes in 0.3mm, 0.7mm, and 0.9mm varities, color coded for ease and sanity's sake!

I used a Pentel A3 dx in 0.3mm all through college and grad school. It's still one of my favorite pencils, but it doesn't see as much use as my Pilot S10 or Alvin Draftmatic.

I roll a rOtring 800, and I've never had problems. The only thing I would consider changing, in hindsight, is switching to a smaller nib.

I've always had this weird thought that, because my handwriting is bad, I need to use smaller nibs. This is not the case!

Alvin "Tech DA" 2mm lead holder.

I'm getting a lot more use out of my lead holders now that I have a rotary sharpener both at home and at work. I've given up on the more portable lead pointers...

A brand new Staedtler Mars Technico Clutch Pencil. Leaded with graphite of course.

That was my first lead holder. It's still one of my favorites.
