It feels much more 'robust' and writes much broader than a 0.7 to me???  Normally mechanical pencils do not take kindly to my 'heavy hand' when I try to make a line I can at least see.  Normally I'm much more of a Staedtler Mars Technico 2mm lead holder kind of a guy

I first used lead holders in school and even then thought they were 😎

My 'Shopping List Pen' is normally a Pilot G2 EX  (A cheaper version of the Pilot G2 Limited here in the UK/EU?? only with a gel like section)

Are you familiar with the Faber Castell Mechanical pencil Poly Matic 0.7 black?

I also  first used lead holders in school and even then thought they were 😎 and I use 2mm lead holders when not using fountain pens.

I used one as well today, but to write a shopping list.

How do you like the Grip Plus mechanical pencil 0.7 mm?

Is it comfortable to hold?

Yes, the grip is comfortable to hold. Its triangular shape is ergonomic. I actually bought it for that reason.

Autopoint .046 inch pencil, "Auto Clutch and Parts Service", W. Fullerton Ave, Chicago. It is new enough that it has a phone number with a "312" area code. Legendary Lead Company "Wet Noodle" lead.

I would like to be using this beautiful Eversharp Junior I found at an antique store, but it seems to be not functioning. It seems like it might be jammed? I tried routing it out with 28 gauge steel wire, which is what I use to clean the small openings in carburetors, but I can't seem to get it cleared.

Is there anybody you know whomis an expert at restoring old mechanical pencils? I would love to send this off and get it working.

I have found no specialist who repairs mechanical pencils, sadly. Went looking a few years ago when I had accumulated several mostly-dead Parker 51 pencils. It sounds like you have done the only repair-action I can think of -- running a thin wire through the barrel.

I suggest asking @Estycollector I know he has vintage Autopoint mechanical pencils.

Here is a thread of the vintage Autopoint Rocket. @gweimer1 might also be a good person to ask.

My current favoutite is a Caran d'ache Fixpencil witha Tombo Mono 100 HB lead. Unfortunately Tombo don't seem to make seperate 2mm leads so I have to extract the lead from a wooden pencil. What a shame!

It matters not with what you write,

just write.

Today it's an Ever Sharp crown top with a soldered clip. This was after Wahl became a partner with Keeran but before "Wahl" was added to the imprint and Ever Sharp shortened to Eversharp. Made for one year, 1916.
