I'm inexplicably drawn to this one. What's it called and is it still in production?

What is the $27k Montblanc in the OP post called again?

Oh, and doesn't anyone love the White Tortoises, or the M1000 Radens?

the white tortoise is splendid looking, really regret selling mine now..

For me, the only pen that's ever made me think "wow, should I?" for weeks on end is Bruce Boone's puzzle pen. A truly stunning looker.

After seeing your post, I naturally had to look for Bruce Boone's designs as I'd not seen them before. What beautiful and interesting designs. And once I saw the puzzle pen with the subtle colours, I could easily see it on a dream list. Stunning!

(*sigh*) Yet another Nakaya to add onto the list......

thx for sharing

I'm going to say Carmine Striated Oversize Sheaffer Balance.

The best looking pen in my collection is a tough one. I am actually really digging the Ahab Executive. If the Ahab came in just the right color of charcoal grey, it would probably seriously win out.

Well I'm a black and gold pen kind of guy...along with silver. I'd say either the Pelikan m1000, MB 149 or any of the Grand Viceroys from Yard-o-Led (I have one of each...) There's something substantial, serious and yet elegant about all three. Classic and timeless designs.

Lisa, you should see if you can send that pen back - it has some serious flaws in the finish! Really now, with pricey pens like that you'd think they could get all the little details in order.

*Laughing out loud!*

Hey! I paid extra for those flaws! Those flaws are PERFECT!

They aren't flaws, they are inclusions.

The flaws add depth to the beauty of the pen.

Very wabi sabi.

Jar, that is one hell of a Sheaffer pen.

In terms of design, nothing beats the Waterman Edson when uncapped. As fluid as it gets.

I should be able to review a pretty pretty pen soon, though.

One of my guitars has a "flaw" in it. I think of it as a beauty mark.

I much prefer minimalist designs. The Lamy 2000 and Pilot Falcon really top my list. I've heard the falcon described as cheap looking, and I heartily disagree. I've seen so many designs people love that to me just look gaudy.

I was starting to discover Pelikan when I saw http://www.pelikan.com/pulse/__v064/vfs-public/exclusive/products/souveraen/aubergine-transparent/souveraen-m-625-normal.png. Now I must have it *drool*

I have a couple of Pelikans, but they aren't on my MUST have list. This, however, is one of those pens that make me go "Hmmmmm" and makes my credit cards hide away.

Ok, so do tell what model this is!

I avoid to judge people or pens by appearances alone. To me a person and a pen can only be great by their substance. Each person and each pen has its own character. Character can not be measured by appearances alone. A great looking pen is not attractive to me unless it is also a GREAT writer. A truly astonishing pen is as gorgeous to look at as it is to write with. Some of the Nakayas above might approach that status. Congratulations to the wise owners.

Do not consider it proof just because it is written in books, for a liar who will deceive with his tongue will not hesitate to do the same with his pen - Maimonides
