Help: Is This A Genuine Parker Sonnet Cisele?

The seller is inside US. He sells not only pens but also other vintage things. Maybe he doesn't know whether it is a fake, just like I was. I cited your picture, which I think is very convincing, in the message I sent to the seller.

I'm late to the party, but this might still be relevant for future reference, so I'll still post it here.

My Sonnet was bought new from a bricks & mortar shop, in 2005, and looks exactly like yours, apart from the date code. I examined the hallmark and inscriptions on mine with a 10x loupe, and I would say your pen looks genuine.

Mine is a great writer, by the way, and has been my daily companion for the last ten years.

Edit: I must admit that the silver, and the crosshatch engraving, on my pen seem to look better after ten years of daily use than on the detailed photo that you posted. So if mine is fake, it is a pretty good fake, holding up for over a decade.

Looks good. Early production Sonnet from late 1990s-early 2000s as the wider cap band suggests. The 'A.III' datecode would be 1st Quarter, 2002.

Thanks for the photo.

If, inside the diamond, there is no P W, or P P, then I would say the nib has a high chance of being fake. Is the symbol inside the diamond a cross? A sure sign of a fake.

Is the nib magnetic?

Mine has P over W inside the diamond. They are separated by a horizontal bar. the left side of the bar is square, the right side is pointed.

On the inscription around the base of the cap is the "P" in parker bigger than the "arker" ? If the P is bigger this is a common sign of counterfeit parker sonnets.
