I just cleaned it up a bit, nothing special, water removes most af the old ink.

 

The barrel of the pen is rubbish so i got it mainly as a spareparts pen . but i´m looking for a usable barrel.

MB slimline.

 

farmdogfan, I'm pleased to see this nib as I have the same one on my slimline pen (no supporting paperwork). I was worried it was a fake as it doesn't show whether it is 14K or 18K and the design is rather plain. I presume it may be 14K?

I´m no expert, but i believe it to be a yellow coloured steel nib.

Two of my 50's 146 (OBB with about 1.5mm and OB, both semiflex) framing my 90's 149 (F, stiff).

 

Interestingly the right 146 is almost a monotone nib in this flashlight photo, while under daylight it's still a bitone nib. I guess the plating has been thinned out very much during the last 60 years.

That's a good example why I prefer the older MBs: the nib is not so crowded with some funny engravings and the section is curved, which means my grip is much more comfortable.

 

And one more, fresh from the bottle (MB Lavender Purple) - no further explanations necessary I guess...
