I'd love to hop in on this. But I just got a custom clipped pearl a few months back and I have another custom inline currently. Still interested to see how it turns out!

You could post pics of what you got. Make us all drool and dream.

And there will be at least one that no one has seen before and that I absolutely love....so there will be a very nice material that I have not used before, but I've been wanting to badly...

I REALLY like the sound of this. I think it would make our "limited edition production" pens a little more unique and special.

A total +1 to this! Feels like it would be a true LE that way, plus give Brian a chance to work with something a bit special! (Hopefully he'll feel that way about it when he's done with them. !)

I wonder if Brian has come up with a name for the LE yet? To me a snazzy name and a LE numbering system is enough for me consider a legitimate LE. Something like the Danitrio Fellowship would be cool. I've made a pretty cool new friend in Trillium with this buy so...um...Edison Friendship LE? Too Carebears huh? Hmmm?

No real name yet, except for "2012 Pearl LE".

I'm open to suggestions.....

Also - the actual name really doesn't have to be finalized for a while. The official name does not have to be final until after production, right before engraving, so we have time.

I'm guessing the name Pearl is after the Pearl street power station? Depending on material, it could be something like the "2012 Pearl Dynamo LE"...

Yeah, the translucent tortoise is one I would go for. If we choose that, the rose acrylic or the the red black ebonite, I'll send the money that day.

Yeah, the Pearlized Wine isn't available in production quantities. :( I know because we considered using it for our new Edison Nouveau in the works. It is beautiful though, we have a custom Edison in that material!

I'm really looking forward to the new Edison Nouveau reveal, pearlized wine or not! :)

A couple of other not so outrageous material options to consider:

Burnt chestnut

Rocky mountain stone

I wonder how many pens can be made from one standard length rod of material..... the suspense should subside in 2 to 24 hours!

The Pearl (at least mine) isn't made to be posted but is postable; the cap is wedgable onto the tail of the pen.

I have just learned a new technical term :)

...not to be confused with wedgie-able :) which is something else entirely and has nothing to do with pens.

The more I know about computers, the more I like my pens.
