This one is a celluloid so most likely, it will not be put into consideration but I just want to say that I love it

That is my pen! The celluloid is so smooth that I sometimes find myself absentmindedly running my fingers over the pen while I am thinking. It is my favorite of my four Edisons.

Since Brian ruled out solid colors, I cast my vote for....

I'm in subject to the final material decision.

I prefer ebonite. The red/black is my standard.

The black rose acrylic is very nice as well.

looking forward to the progress on this one.

Brian,

Just out of curiosity what has been your largest group buy so far? How many pens?

I already have a clipped red-black ebonite Pearl (my daily user), and have been saving my pennies for a Nakaya Piccolo Heki-Tam (yeah, I wish). Really wish this was going to be clipless! But given the price, if the material was right another clipped Pearl would be hard to pass up. My favored materials? I tend toward the conservative. I think the Pearl looks great in Bedrock Flake -- probably my first choice. A darker and more subdued pattern really accentuates the Pearl's subtle and sublime style.

I am interested. I will seriously consider confirming if and when we see a sample prototype.

WOW! :puddle: Look at the shine on that.

I agree. Impressive.

I like:

Oh, if the Pearl ends up being in that material, I would certainly rethink my decision not to participate! I love the look of that material.

Both of those are gorgeous! I think I like the Black Rose better though.

There are too many choices!!!

That was my pick for your group buy from the pens I saw in LA. But I think the material is, unfortunately, hard to get in quantity.

Yeah, I thought it might be difficult to get in large enough quantities, but it is pretty.

Ah, that's a pity. But that means I may see a custom Edison in pearlized wine acrylic in my future... :)

Yeah, the Pearlized Wine isn't available in production quantities. :( I know because we considered using it for our new Edison Nouveau in the works. It is beautiful though, we have a custom Edison in that material!

Mrs. Goulet!

Is there a firm date for accepting payments for the buy yet? I have been scouring the forums for signs out of concern of missing the start-up.

She would probably be the first to know such a detail, but I think the material has to be determined before a price can be set. At minimum, I think the actual price would have to be set before money can change hands.

And there will be at least one that no one has seen before and that I absolutely love....so there will be a very nice material that I have not used before, but I've been wanting to badly...

I REALLY like the sound of this. I think it would make our "limited edition production" pens a little more unique and special.

A total +1 to this! Feels like it would be a true LE that way, plus give Brian a chance to work with something a bit special! (Hopefully he'll feel that way about it when he's done with them. !)
