I'm blown away by BSB and KtC for completely opposite reasons.

Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first, the lesson afterwards.

I have to tell you that the KTC is some sort of amazing. We use it in marker pens at our plan nursery. That stuff stands up to Dirt, Dust, Desert and Water.

 

And thank you for the response. (Sometimes I feel like it's too much effort because no one else is this crazy).

The Iroshizuku ink is NOT water resistant, but it is one of the few inks other than Noodler's which is still vibrant.

Perhaps this thread should be preserved for posterity in the "Ink Comparisons, Scans and Tests" subforum? Lightfast tests like these don't come around that often.

Wow, I saw this today for the first time. I am amazed at the time and effort you put into this. Well done!

 

Also, I'm amazed at how well the Papermate Profile 1.4 ballpoint held up, especially with the Write Bros ink fading into oblivion. It looks like it held up as well as the Jetstream ink.

Thank you for the feedback. I have to say I really like how the Profile is so broad and slick. It's fun to use. Likewise, I didn't think the Sharpie would be gone so quickly.

Here is a picture of the samples on March 8. The sun is now directly on the window but obviously the samples are not receiving full direct sun all day. My window faces West.

This has made me more confident in using my Black Swan in Australian Roses in my journals - it's not listed as "eternal" or "bulletproof", but it appears to be holding up to your testing. Thank you!!
