Midway Blue and GI Green are really holding up! Makes me rethink both of them. I love how bright they are.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Not a big surprise that black inks are the most resilient.

The highlighters - even if water resistant initially - do not hold up to light. The Red Sharpie is so dark it is not always useful as a highlighter though I do like the color, and usually use it as a maker.

As time has passed, my scanner is less willing to scan the highlighters...... hmmm

The brightness appears to be fading. I'm impressed that Iroshizuku ink has remained bright (even if still not even the slightest bit water resistant).

These are some "dry liners" and they are fading. They also became water soluble AFTER being exposed to the sun (as did the ballpoint pen and gel inks).

Oh my BSB loses that retinal scarring property. Scrip is starting to fade now too. KTC is still there - I think that ink will be there long after the paper is gone.

Amazing, this analysis. I'm stunned that you could post this and I'm thrilled that you have so many colourful replies. I'm still not convinced that such a comparsion can be anticipated by ever user.... To each, his own pen, paper, ink and all that. Especially their own eyesight.

No offence meant! :headsmack:

I'm more impressed with what's held up rather than shocked at what's faded.

I have to agree. I never thought that the Skrip or Zebra would "hold up" to the light - and based on the fact that the hint of water had the Pilot ink washing away, I was really surprised at it.

One of the "surprises" though was that the ink was less resistant to water after being exposed to sun.

No offense taken. I don't know that every user would see these exact shades or colors. Thank you for the feedback, though. I was feeling like I'd been wasting my time, and these take hours.

You are not wasting your time. I can't run this sort of thing at home since my apt windows get no direct sunlight. Most of my friends get very little direct sunlight. Of course Pittsburgh, where I live, gets 300 + cloudy days a year.
