What Chinese Pens Are You Using Today?

Just filled my new Bulow X450 (sure looks like a Jinhao X450) and it works great. The usual Chinese "medium" nibs are way too wide for me....

That's odd. I have heard from all directions that Asian pens run to the fine, at least "fine" in the Western sense of the term for a nib.

Trying some cheap Chinese pens from the streets.

(I apologize for my handwriting. And the amateur reviewing.)

(All ink are Hero, except for the last one, dunno what it is.)

If I have the money, I probably run out and buy some more ultra-cheap FPs for this thread.

After a few months my Jinhao Century Mk2 is beginning to show some significant plating wear on the cap rings - it no longer looks silver, just dull grey.

However, it's still worth keeping with me because it's a good pen.

Regards,

Richard.

A Hero 110. 12K (I think)gold nib, thin hooded pen. It has a nicely functioning aerometric filler. The pen is a little thin for me and the cap is kind of cheap, but boy this is a smooth, little writer.

I am thinking of getting one as well to compliment my 100 and 1000. Is the barrel made of plastics material and with a metal thread for attaching to the connector?

No, I am not going to list my pens here.

That one looks interesting. Has yours got the White or Orange cap? (Never been sure what colour agate is in reality, I always thought it was green-ish).

Regards,

Richard.

I've certainly not seen any others.

How does it write? It would be interesting to see a Targa/Huashi comparison.

Regards,

Richard.

I recently got one of those (however, I don't have a Targa). Writes really well - smooth and reliable, and I do like the way it looks. However, I keep ending up with my fingers on the nib whenever I use it. A case of the wrong pen for the user, or rather the wrong user for the pen! I'll be looking for other models from the same brand, as long as they have that nib.

I have that pen, well better said, my daughter has it. The agate I know around here is blue-blue gray and pink-purple. I think it can be a lot of different colors though.

Using the Hero 565 today.

I received my first Jinhao 159 in the mail yesterday. Other than not getting as much writing from a converter full of ink as I'd like, I think it will prove to be a pen I'll use a lot. For just under $10, it was a steal. Thank you to the various members who have mentioned it in this thread and thus brought it to my attention.
