I love the Baoer 3035, it was my first ever fountain pen, along with a Jinhao x450.

The styling is great.

Writes very well too.

I love the Wing Sung conical nib family, they generally almost always give me sterling service and write well, though they can be sometime hard to clean and maintain. The variety Wing Sung offers is also amazing.

You folks are dragging me into this morass from which I am beginning to think there is no escape. I've had a couple of Jinhao x450s that I tried to use a Zebra G nib with only moderate success. that lead me here and today I arrived at my desk to find, and ink within 20 minutes:

Kaigelu 316 amber. It is indeed heavy.

Wing Sung 398 teal. Amazingly smooth fine nib.

Kaigelu 316 amber. It is indeed heavy.

Do some searching around to discover ways to lighten the Kaigelu 316. Replacing the barrel finial is the easiest; that turns the pen into a pleasant writing experience.

Hero 953 - F/M Nib (0.5 mm). Inked with Chesterfield Smoked Topaz. Arrived today. Nib did require just a bit of smoothing - 12000 grit micromesh. Very classy looking pen - gunmetal, with gold tone furnishings. Two tone nib - nice etching around trim, with the Hero emblem in the center. Attractive clip. Came in a nice pen box. Reminds me of a Picasso box--though dark blue in color.
