Thebai Thyer, a tuned Jinhao 911 as the information on taobao says. Writes smoothly with a fine line, similar to Hero 616.

Do you have a favourite between the 330, 332, and 336? Or do they all write the same?

They do not write the same, Hero 332 it writes fine more toward midium and Hero 330 and 336 are on te fine size .My favorites are primarily the Hero 336 and second it is Hero 330 , but my best pen, it is not among

those three pen's, my best pen would be Hero 340 .

I went through my entire collection today, decided what to re-ink and what you clean out, you know the deal.

Made me realize how much I love those Chinese pens here.

Picasso 915: Genuinely one of my best pens, if not the best. I still can't quite believe it, but this thing is awesome. And way prettier than on this picture, the lighting at my place is just ridiculously bad.

Wing Sung 322 (red): The celluloid is more transparent and has less depth to it than the green one, but it is still gorgeous and writes very well.

Wing Sung 322 (green): Super fine nib, a smidge finer than the red one, even. One heckuva looker, too, despite its small size.

Wing Sung 233: This pen works so well with Pelikan royal blue. I really like this pen - the nib is nice, the design is charming in a cheap 1970's plastic way, the cap is robust and clicks into place nicely, it's got a spring-loaded clip (or something functionally identical, at least), which is really great and it's generally just really fun to use.

Jinhao x450 (red): Used to be my designated Pelikan Royal Blue pen, but I've inked so many pens with rb lately... so I put Standardgraph cornflower blue in there instead. Standargraph inks are volatile and unreliable, but if they work, they look incredible.

Jinhao x450 (green): This x450 was uncharacteristically wet - far too wet for my taste. So I did the logical thing, used all that ink flow and turned the nib into a nice, crisp italic, somewhere around 1.2 mm wide. I absolutely love the result - it's still a wet pen, but more manageable, and it's surprisingly very smooth and reliable.

Thank you, Stefan. I didn't know there was a 340. I will look for it. I only have a 332 and it does write a bit too wide for me.

I like it, the nib is smooth with a tiny bit of feedback, not uncomfortable at all. I think it has more feed back than my Hero 616 which is buttery smooth, but as we all know the Hero 616 QC is spotty so maybe I am lucky with the one I have.

The Thyers are tuned by TheBai (so they say) so I expect the quality is more consistent. The design itself is nothing special, it is basically a Jinhao 911 flighter, black plastic section, with different marking on the cap only.

It exist such a thing, like a fake Jinhao pen, because i think i bough a fake Jinhao X450. He arrived today and it does not look like, the Jinhao X450 i have bought a few months ago .

The real one have the central band with jinhao and X450 engraved on it, the nib have jinhao, jinhao logo , and 18K GP stamped on. The nib is in two-tone and it feels very smooth .

The fake one have the central band to but there's nothing engraved on it , the nib have iridium point germany, stamped on . The nib is in golden and it feels some what scratchy.

I do not know about JinHao specifically but faked chinese pens (as copies of genuine chinese brands) are know to exist. For example the Hero 616 seems famous for having fakes around.

If you got the pen from eBay and the original posting shows a genuine JinHao, with branding, etc... even if the text description does not mention JinHao. Take pictures of the pen you actually received and initiate a refund with cause that the item does not match the description. In such case the seller has to pay 100% (original price, original shipping, and the fee to ship back). Usually the seller will offer to just refund you directly since shipping from europe or from the US to China is more expensive than what you paid already. If it turns out the seller made a genuine mistake I will usually offer a partial refund. If I feel the seller was trying to pull a bait and switch, then I have no pity.

Hero 901 - M. Nib. Chesterfield Xircon fpn_1490766276__hero901d.jpg

I just got my own Hero 901 in the mail, so I'm using one of those right now as well.

Alas, your picture is a good deal more aesthetically pleasing than anything I could post right now (which isn't a particularly good compliment given the quality of my images lately, so I'd like to add that I really like that photograph), so I won't even try.

I'm using Standardgraph violet, though, because it writes like a bright purple, but dries as a blue-ish, dull purple that may actually pass as royal blue at first glance and hits the same fine line between "actually reasonably professional-looking" and "tacky as heck" as the pen does.

This photo pushed me over the edge. Just ordered one.

Helen's photos are why I have this pen and many others.
